In the winter I suffer from cracked, bleeding cuticles on my hands, so I requested to try "Gloves in a Bottle". Please note that this was several months ago. The company was very kind to send me a bottle immediately and I have been very lax on writing my review.
Gloves in a bottle is not just a hand lotion; it is also a "shielding lotion" designed to help people that suffer from dry, itchy skin. People can have skin reactions for several reasons. Some people have naturally sensitive skin due to allergies or skin conditions*. Others may irritate their skin through day to day activities including
- occupational conditions - latex gloves, frequent exposure to irritants *
- frequent wash hand washing
- sports
- gardeners / landscapers
Most people suffer from dry skin in the winter but many also suffer dry skin year round. Miss N and I mainly suffer in the winter but I need this product winter, spring and summer and fall! At home I am constantly cooking, cleaning up after the kids, wiping things down, doing the dishes, etc. This involves frequent hand washings. This really does act as a barrier. You have to rub it in a little bit longer to get it to absorb and get rid of the "too much lotion" feeling - once rubbed it in does absorb into the skin AND act as a barrier.
