DaysAgo Digital Day Counter - Review

I knew I had to have one of these the first time I saw DaysAgo featured on television. I am ALWAYS forgetting when I have opened something residing in the fridge. No more inquisitions or debates about when something was opened or second guessing whether or not we should eat the leftovers. I have discarded food, sauces and condiments out of fear of food poisoning. I especially do not want my children to get sick as food poisoning could be much more harmful to a child than an adult. I err on the side of "better be safe than sorry".

My grandmother used to label and date everything in her fridge. While my OCD organizational side would love to do that, the reality is I working full time, raising three kids and trying to maintain a household. There are a ton of things I would love to sort, organize and label. This usually does not happen..... Using the DaysAgo Digital Day counter is so much more practical for me and my lifestyle.

DaysAgo is an innovative solution. You simple attach the magnetic, digital unit to the top of any jar with a metal top and activate the counter. This is perfect for spaghetti sauce, baby food, salsa etc. DaysAgo also offers a digital day counter with a band to wrap around objects (bottles and jars) and another with a suction attachment for smooth plastic and glass surfaces.

DaysAgo has a wonderful food guide posted on the shelf life of various foods including fresh foods, meats, juices. etc. This is a great resource and you may be surprised by some of the guidelines. (I have kept some foods WAY past their prime and am wondering how my family has survived thus far!)

DaysAgo also offers a great product promoting breast cancer awareness - a Days Ago Digital Day Counter to remind women of when it is time for their next self-breast exam. I know women in their 30's and 40's up to women in their 80's who have been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Early detection is key to helping fight and beat breast cancer. Kathleen Whitehurst, co-inventor of the DaysAgo® Digital Day Counter is also a ten-year breast cancer survivor. 10% of the proceeds are donated to breast cancer awareness.

DaysAgo has received great reviews from Oprah, HGTV and numerous blogs (including Blogmania!). For more information on the company and it's foundation click HERE. For information on purchasing, visit http://shopping.netsuite.com/daysago.
